  1. This is the first time I have used HSBC. Should I have received an email yesterday since 3/31 was the expiration date? Or does it take a few days for them to process everything and send out the details to us (I got the CDs so I'm not waiting for the downloadable stuff).
  2. I bought the best knee pillow when pregnant (6 years ago) that lasted many years. I replaced it with a memory foam knee pillow I got off of Amazon and I am not impressed. Unfortunately, I have no idea what website I used to buy my first one. Any recommendations for a firm knee pillow? Memory foam isn't an option since it sinks too much. Thanks for any tips!
  3. OK, put in my order finally (Light Blue Series). I did not see where it gave the # of current orders so far...
  4. I blog a few times a week. We're an eclectic blend of Charlotte Mason and Classical. Link in my siggy.
  5. What a bummer. :( HEM is not religious. I really enjoy receiving it. It's on the unschooly-side but that's never bothered me (I'm definitely not an unschooler).
  6. Yes, I'm also ordering but just haven't gotten to it yet.
  7. We used it last year for preschool. My daughter really enjoyed it. We now do an eclectic CM/classical blend and I think it was easy to transition into that after a year of FIAR. I blogged a lot about our FIAR lessons (link in signature).
  8. Awesome, I already enjoy checking in on your blog. :) Hope you feel better!
  9. We're likely in. I just want to do a few more free sheets with DD to make sure but I think it's the program for us. (and bump ;) )
  10. We are on the brink of switching from RS A to MM. I tried the free print outs and DD enjoyed them. RS is definitely a great program but I don't think it's a good fit for my DD. I do think she'd do better with a mastery program plus the table top work/reading the directions to herself (I was obviously there to help when needed) really helped her focus. She was always so squirmy during many of the RS lessons. So, at least for us, I think her focusing on the instructions herself, visually, really helps a lot. Good luck figuring it out!
  11. Yes, I agree. Science lessons are great for photos/blogs. :)
  12. Bumping one last time. Boy this board is so busy. :)
  13. What we are doing is on mu blog (under "About") but we don't necessarily follow a time schedule. Certain things usually get done on certain days, like Bird Study on Mondays, Religion Study on Tuesdays, Prehistory on Sundays, etc... But I don't plan things like "9:00am - 9:15 HWT" or anything like that. More of a general plan (i.e. this afternoon we will cover Prehistory).
  14. Yes, you know I love your blog! :) We will definitely be keeping a photo log on our blog once we start BFSU (not until the Fall) but hopefully I can find a few more in the mean time.
  15. Any blogs out there sharing their BFSU lessons? I'm not looking for schedules/lesson planning, just for blog posts describing how a lesson turned out/sharing the experience. TIA!
  16. I have no advice but am subbing to read the replies. We have one and would love one more but we're not pregnant yet... Also, do you happen to blog? We will likely have a similar age difference so I am always interested in reading about families with similar dynamics (big age gap). Good luck with everything and congratulations!
  17. Thanks for posting this - the sale is still working, just bought a few things. :)
  18. Here's a good article on copywork, transcription, and dictation. Narration - simple definition and ideas given here.
