  1. We are poverty level and I buy most of our books. The late fees at libraries kill me and I have so many kids that want to borrow books! lol Plus everything I buy will be used multiple times.
  2. I got one for like 250 a couple years ago. Reused a bunch of the books this year with TOG 3. It's a great core! Original poster: I actually have an extra IG for Core 3 if you want to piece one together. :) It's old, but works just fine.
  3. Excited to find this as we are doing TOG 4 with SOTW4 next year. Thank you!
  4. Can't figure out how else to follow from phone....so subbing too lol
  5. Thanks so much!!! Really thinking this through. Thank you for your input.
  6. If I am not 100% Montessori and using it more as an add in, would it be ok to skip the Montessori red and blue rods and just use our C-rods or MUS blocks to work on numbers 1-10? Also could I skip the beads if we are using c-rods and MUC blocks? I want to still get 100s base sets with blocks, but I am thinking I could save money if I skip rods, beads, and golden bead set. Thoughts?
  7. I set up accounts about 18 months ago. It is time for me to be more proactive and actually USE it! lol
  8. Both are fairly short at this point. That should workout fine. :)
  9. We have used MOH1 and MOH2. We enjoyed them. I would like to get MOH 3.
  10. Oh my....you sound like me!!! My Ker is doing MUS Primer, SM 1A, LHFHG and MFW 1st. I have problems! :D
  11. My dd in K is using MUS Primer and SM1A. I let her show me what block and skip coloring if she got bored with it. She just laid it over where the coloring block was. Easy :)
  12. I am fortunate and own SL cores and use TOG. We use SL books often and it have worked great for last two years. :) TOG is a buffet. Easy to use other resources and pick and choose from their options.
  13. Things I have decided: TOG 4 (with SOTW) (using for history, literature, geography, some writing, world view, and fine arts) with a online co-op MUS Creek edge task cards that line up with TOG Creek edge task cards for science, artist and composer study Abeka science grade 6 Competitive dance lessons Competitive dance team class once a week that also competes 2 homeschool groups that meet once a week. One more social; one with projects and literature Such a mix and match. That is plan so far. More to come.
  14. Going through Khan's on my Friday night. :) Figured I can lead by example and tackle my fraction weakness and that should build his confidence to do so. Still deciding what extras to bring in as money is an issue. For now, even if we only do math everyday, that is our focus. lol Make it fun and power through it.
  15. I use a laptop for older ones. I could not imagine using just an ipad.
  16. This is what I would do. Make it fun and just read and discuss. Will give a general background for next history cycle.
  17. Thanks everyone. MUS I don't think is the issue. I think it is us. :(
  18. We have done some khan videos. I do think part of the problem is I am horrible at fractions. :( They have always been my hang up. Maybe I need to really do it with him. If we learn together, then I can help him.
  19. My ds13 is really struggling. We have start MUS Epsilon over twice. We own LOF. Any other suggests to help him understand fractions???? He is really having trouble. Now he feels defeated and behind. He is shutting down when it comes to math. HELP!
