scrapbookbuzz
The Lounge is now OPEN! Sorry so late this morning. Slept later than I thought I would. Heard my husband get up and ready for work this morning and thought I'd get up too. Next thing I know it was 8:40! oops! And now it's 0930 and I'm not even close to being awake so I told the kids they could take turns each playing a half hour of Minecraft (hubby just got it reinstalled after a computer snafu about two months ago). Sipping my coffee, hoping my brain will start functioning on full capacity soon! How's the weather where you are? Here: it was beautifully cool in the mornings and temperate during the day, for about two days. Now, it's still too hot for my taste. I really need to move OUT of the urban desert but convincing the rest of my family of that is a challenge! What's your morning beverage of choice? Here: more often than not it's coffee. This morning I'm drinking Mountain Cabin Vanilla. I have been known to enjoy some tea, as well. If you could live anywhere, where would you live? Here: I would move to a mountain forest. Talk to me! :bigear:
scrapbookbuzz
I should also add something about our weather. Most days of the year it is sunny, as we get very little rain. While I enjoy an overcast day now and then, along with the rain it usually brings, it seems to be hard on my Aspie daughter's brain and makes it hard for her to concentrate on schoolwork.
Jean in Newcastle
Weather : cloudy. PeachyDoodle
Weather: Cloudy. Cooling off but still humid, so kinda gross. Beverage: Water. It's pretty much all I drink. Not a fan of hot beverages. Live: Any house that doesn't belong to someone else. After nine years in my late grandma's house, we were in the process of buying our own place. That fell through, and we are now staying temporarily at my parents'. I'm sick of dealing with family and just want my own place!
scrapbookbuzz
I can imagine that living in someone else's house for an extended length of time can get on one's nerves. Feels like you're always under a microscope, yes? Here's praying you can get your own place soon!
ScoutTN
Weather: Still too hot, 81 today. But nights have cooled off to 50's. Hoping the daytime temps drop to low 70's soon. Morning beverage: Most often hot tea, sometimes coffee, kids had decaf mocha with lots of milk this morning as a treat. Place: Here, but in a little better area with a bigger yard, 600 more sq. ft and a garage.
HomeAgain
Weather: warm and sunny Morning beverage: currently orange juice, but as the weather turns I'll switch to tea or coffee Place: Somewhere with 4 seasons and a view. I've lived in many different places, and this is the only one I really dislike. It seems so....hostile.
SamanthaCarter
I'm having my afternoon coffee break before we dive in and do the remaining things on our workplan. This teacher's lounge is a fun idea. Did I miss it somehow? We are having a beautiful fall day, sunny, low 70s. Coffee, always coffee, my favorite being Peet's Dickason's blend. With some half and half. My ideal place to live would be here, or somewhere much like it - with a better house. That doesn't seem like it will ever be in the cards for us. I've always thought I would love Colorado, but it's too far from family. Everyone in my FOO is within a day's drive currently.
scrapbookbuzz
The Teachers Lounge has been around for awhile - and on sabbatical for awhile. I missed it and figured others did too so I decided to bring it back! B-) And now, despite the fact we have more schooling to get to, I may take a nap after lunch. Hoping that drinking some water will also help cool me down. I don't like being hot!
scrapbookbuzz
Closing the Lounge for the day. Even though I went out to eat with hubby, still not feeling 100%. Not sure what's going on. See you all tomorrow. The Lounge is now CLOSED.
