StaceyinLA
Anyone have this that can tell me how awesome it is, or isn't, and what changed from the original Air? I sold my sister my Air a couple of months ago, and I'm really missing it. I wouldn't mind waiting until the (suspected) iPad pro comes out in the fall, but don't think I can wait that long. mamaraby
It's a great deal lighter. Granted, I had an iPad2 before I got the Air2 so that's generally my frame of reference. However, it's still lighter even compared to the Air. It's also thinner and has a faster processor. imo, though, we're not all that far away from fall, so if you can wait, I'd wait.
AK_Mom4
I have the iPad Air2. It's awesome and amazing, though I might be a bit biased as I upgraded from the original iPad. Air 2 is light and so easy on my eyes for reading. The Air 2 is a tiny bit skinnier than the Air and is a tad lighter. I couldn't tell the difference - it's like 2/100ths of a pound lol. The Air2 has the fingerprint thing, which I don't use on my iPad, but do on my phone and really like it. I just haven't got around to setting it up on the ipad yet. The big difference is the anti-reflective coating. I can read in bright light and sunlight just as easy as I can in a dark room. I will mention that battery life is fantastic. With the wifi off and just reading ebooks and listening to music, the battery goes for a week. On a recent flight, I watched Depsicable Me and Despicable Me 2 and still had over 20% battery left. Farrar
I also upgraded from the 2, but the Air 2 is really sweet. It's so much faster and lighter. The camera is much better even than the Air.
StaceyinLA
Well I think I need to go ahead and get it. If I just die over the pro when it comes out, I'll have hubby buy it for me for Christmas. ;-p
Julie Smith
I recently upgrades from the original iPad. For me, it is just nice to have an iPad that works. :)
catz
I had an iPad 2 and have an iPad Air 2 now. My husband had an iPad 1 and has an iPad Air. You see who gets the first upgrades? ;) So The only big difference we said btwn the Air 1 and the Air 2 is the finger recognition capability. Otherwise they seem pretty much the same. If you have an Air 1, those are still relatively new, and I wouldn't upgrade from that. But the speed of it is considerably better from my iPad 2 and it's much lighter. Pawz4me
I have an Air 2, but it's my first iPad so I have nothing to compare it to. I do like it and have been tremendously impressed by the battery life. I think it's kind of funny how people say it's so light, though. To me it seems extremely heavy, but I'm comparing it to my Kindle. After holding the iPad for awhile the Kindle seems almost weightless. StaceyinLA
I got it, and am syncing it up now. I was at a friend's all afternoon and am just getting my hands on it! Now to get on Amazon and find a cute, cheap case. Any suggestions?
Guest
I don't want to hear about iPads - I want to hear the end of your blender saga! Whatever happened? I've heard nothing but good things about the Air2's, btw. Nothing that I'd upgrade my Air over, but if I didn't have one I'd buy the newest model, absolutely. AK_Mom4
I got it, and am syncing it up now. I was at a friend's all afternoon and am just getting my hands on it! Now to get on Amazon and find a cute, cheap case. Any suggestions? I don't need much protection and just use the apple SmartCase - in cherry red of course! When I put the iPad into my bag, I have a cheap neoprene tablet case from Amazon that the SmartCase and iPad just slide into. Guest
I only use Zoogue cases. They're awesome, high quality, and very reasonable. I tried two other brands and it was not worth it, not to mention the corners of my iPad were damaged.
StaceyinLA
ArcticMama, I wound up with a Blendtec and am liking it so far. I haven't really put it through anything too tough, but it makes a super smoothie and great "nice" cream.
Guest
I'm definitely curious if you think it is a better blender, even though your vitamix seemed defective :)
StaceyinLA
Well I really like it so far. I don't know that it's better, but I do like the presets a lot, and I like that it fits under my counter.
