TechWife
Just an FYI - the scores won't be posted to the student's College Board account until tomorrow, however they are already showing as received (with today's date) and are posted in the online application that ds has in progress. If you have a student with an application in progress, theirs might be there, too! It was nice to see them and that the university is within reach for ds. Edited for grammar. Angie in VA
Congrats to your ds! :) We're waiting for PSAT scores. It'll be a while. Why, I will never understand. Shorter test, no essay. Part of The Game. ETA: This was just dress rehearsal this year. Next year it'll count.
Susan in TN
Congrats to your ds! :) We're waiting for PSAT scores. It'll be a while. Why, I will never understand. Shorter test, no essay. Part of The Game. ETA: This was just dress rehearsal this year. Next year it'll count. This is our case as well. Dd took the SAT in June and her scores were, well, shockingly low. So I am hoping with more practice and extra study/test prep, she can at least score high enough on the ACT this spring to take a dual enrollment class at the local CC next year. Granny_Weatherwax
Congrats to your DS!! My DS took the subject tests but his university is showing the scores as "not received". I guess we wait until tomorrow.
GoodGrief
Waiting for SAT scores here too. Mine is a junior, and I am more interested in the PSAT score at this point, but I am hoping she will have similar performance on both.
Granny_Weatherwax
DS received an email yesterday evening from his #1 school stating his application was complete. We were unable to view the scores online, however, and had to wait until this morning to log in and check. I am pleased with his scores; they are in line with his ACT scores. His school doesn't have minimums but his scores fall within the range for the middle 50% percent. I hope everyone else received good results today. Jennifer in MI
My son got his scores today. He was very pleased. He's an rower and being recruited by quite a few Division I schools. They've told him they'd like him to have a certain (high, IMO) score and he was 10 points shy. He will take it again, but his times for rowing are quite a bit faster than they have to be. So, maybe they'll be okay with the 10 point difference.
GoodGrief
My daughter's scores are still not available. Worrisome. I know other people from her test center have received their scores, so it's not a test center problem. Called the College Board and they said someone would contact us in 5-7 days, ugh. GoodGrief
Have you heard anything yet? We don't have scores, but I have a better idea about what is going on now. My daughter did not mention this to me on test day, because she did not realize how significant it would be, but she had written the answers for one section onto the answer sheet for another section. She told the proctor once she realized it. There is apparently a procedure in place for these types of things, which was followed, as far as I can tell. The proctor gave her a new sheet for her to use for the remainder of the test, and the two answer sheets were supposed to be attached and sent in. Well, obviously this is quite irregular, and the test was flagged. I've called a couple times, and have been told the case has been assigned to an investigator now. I have no idea what will happen in the end, but we are steeling ourselves for the possibility of score cancellation. Not a tragedy, though she WAS hoping to be "one and done." TechWife
Oh, I hope they don't cancel her scores, especially since she completed the test!
NancyNellen
My senior got his scores back. This was a qualifying test for NMS. He did great. Perfect on Critical Reading (as he also did on the ACT). Math was his best yet, but lower than he wanted. All in all, well above the required qualifying score he needed, so we are happy. He has an application in progress for the US Naval Academy, as well as NROTC, so confirming the NMS score was key. Man, this is all so stressful! NancyNellen
Good luck with USNA! And Go Navy, Beat Army! Thanks so much, Margaret...we are off shortly for our 2nd Congressional nomination interview. Just wish it weren't snowing so hard! I'm already stressed enough (my son, of course, is cool as a cucumber!)
GoodGrief
Update. finally got scores this week: 2350, hooray! It was a nailbiter until the end whether they would be cancelled. A new bit of info that dd revealed to me...during her downtime in the test, she was doodling on the test booklet in Chinese. Unfortunately, the scores from China and Korea for the Oct 11 test date were held for a cheating scandal (not sure if they have been released or cancelled, I stopped following the saga.) Anyway, talk about frying pan into the fire. But all's well in the end, and we hope the PSAT score is similar.
