liltrees
what readers do you use? Are BOB books a right fit or is there something out there that's better? This is my first time to piece together a language arts program...not sure what all I need. Thanks!
ClassicMom
I picked this up at the Cincy Convention, so I'm interested in comments too! :lurk5:
Paula in PA
If you go to the OPGTR's website and look near the middle of the FAQ on the main page, she lists a bunch of different series that work with the book. We used the Sizzy books, Bob books, and the Common Press readers.

Alice
Ds liked Bob books at first, but then I think they bored him a bit. We liked the Nora Gaydos readers and lately I've just been getting early readers out of the library.
elise1mds
I let my son read anything he thought he could... helped him with the hard words and just kept right on going. DD is starting to read Bob books but hasn't officially started OPG yet.

Osaubi
I found a set of Scholastic Phonics Reading Program at the 1/2 Price Bookstore for $ 7.00 it was missing the first cd-rom, but I bought it just so I could have some readers on hand. I like these books because they vary in content so they are always interesting to my ds6, and on the front they have the sounds the books focuses on. I use OPGTR for my phonics program, but use those books for extra practice. If you can find a used set, it is well worth the money.
