Laurie
When I was here in October asking for prayer for my dh I never dreamed we'd have to wait until January for this surgery! But today was finally the day, and the surgery went very well. Originally we thought the whole kidney would be removed, but dh and his surgeon opted for a partial nephrectomy instead. The lesion was removed along with a margin around it, and dh will be spending 2 or 3 nights in the hospital. Thankfully tonight he's dopey on pain medication and is doing well...he's just hoping they'll let him have some breakfast in the morning! Thanks so much for your prayers back in October when this all started, and I'd sure appreciate some additional prayers for his recovery. Thank you! :)

Halftime Hope
I'm glad they did a partial. I wouldn't give up extra kidney tissue without a fight, after learning what its like to have them not work well! :) Best wishes for you all!
