I too usually give them 7 days.

In the fridge, several weeks. We used to keep the dyed Easter eggs at room temperature for several days without any issues.

Eta: back home, the recommendation is 2 weeks at room temp, 4 weeks refrigerated.

Are the eggs peeled or still in their shells? That makes a big difference in the way I would answer your question.
