ProudGrandma
I have a college student who is an auditory learner and I was wondering if anybody here knew of any sort of software we could get that would "read" aloud he ebook textbooks or other books? I know that Audible has some audio books...but do they have textbooks and other kinds of things? Please help me figure this out. Thanks. history-fan
https://www.kurzweiledu.com/default.html You may want to check with the college, many have this available for their students.
City Mouse
Both Learning Ally and Bookshare have some textbooks, but users must qualify for those services. Bookshare uses computer speech, but Learning Ally uses human readers, so new books take longer to produce. Snap n Read https://snapandread.com is software that will read most web based material as well as PDFs.
