stephanier.1765
I went around noon and the polling station was so empty I freaked out for a moment worrying that it had moved. Other than one other person, I was the only one voting. I was shocked.

He said there was much more a line than normal, but got through in a efficient manner. He said about 15-20 minutes. My local news is reporting 27% in person voter turnout by 11 a.m., up to 43% once absentee ballot are added in. I've never seen 43% turn out in our county before. Our county has 80% turnout so far with 90% predicted. Don’t know if the prediction will come true. 3

And just to clarify, official results won’t necessarily be available everywhere the next day either. Probably won’t be in some states that won’t even start counting absentee ballots until today. I think the official, official results would be the certified results, which doesn’t happen until up to a month from now, depending on the state (and has nothing to do with absentee ballots, it’s just the way it’s always been). The early calling of the election we’ve all gotten accustomed to in the modern era is just the news networks extrapolating results and making the call for who mathematically appears to be the winner based on the numbers. Question, The Associated Press + Google are posting the percentage of votes reported in states. Right now it's saying 89% of Florida votes are called. How accurate is this?
