Yay! I hope they figure out, going forward, how to move her to the new house... If we move, this will be a problem for our inside-outside cat...

I've done a lot of reading about TNR programs and gleaned some ideas from them. They try not to move outdoor cats, but if it's absolutely necessary, there is a procedure they follow. It basically involves confining the cat in a large cage or outbuilding at the new location for 3 or 4 weeks, feeding her very yummy food, and gradually introducing her to the outdoors. Since your cat is indoor / outdoor, you would be able to do the confining in your house. I'm sending my friend some links and will post them here later, too!

My mom moved her indoor outdoor cat with no problems.  She did take it slowly -- kept her in the house for quite awhile and then tried to keep her in the yard under supervision before she let her have free roam.  But this cat was unlike any other cats also -- it was like a dog and followed my mom everywhere so it could have just been very attached and not willing to leave!

That's awesome! This is an outdoor only cat, so I think it's going to be a little more tricky. She is very attached to her family, but also is a bit timid and easily spooked by other animals.
