ScoutTN
I don't want to go out to shop, but need to get Dd some decent quality earrings for her birthday. Not Claire's junk. Not expensive jewelry store stuff. Any suggestions, O Hive?
almondbutterandjelly
Is James Avery expensive jewelry store stuff? They are sterling silver, in the $40 on up range.
Andromeda
What styles, materials, price range? Novica is a good site. It supports individual artists and the jewelry is largely hand made and usually affordable.
Selkie
I love the jewelry at Madewell. madewell.com I have three pairs of their earrings and a necklace and the quality is so nice. All were in the $20-25 price range. 2
MysteryJen
Madewell is nice. You can try Nordstrom Rack for online bargains there. We got a nice set of studs for dd2 at Target for her birthday. Set of six (sterling silver posts) for around $28.

J-rap
I've gotten nice quality and not-too-expensive earrings at Madewell.
Carol in Cal.
A friend of mine sells Sara Blaine jewelry, and they are shutting down their direct sales arm. There are tons of bargains to be had. Quality is medium—not costume jewelry but not fine jewelry either, on trend, lots of gold plated onto brass, or silver. Lots of agates of different colors. I’ve been pretty happy with their stuff, although some of it is way too ornate for me.
ashfern
I just got my daughter these earrings from Amazon. She needed something that wouldn't poke her at work as she has to wear a headset.
