Ds19 and his friends spent the day here yesterday working on his car, and it was a really good day. It did my heart good to see him with a group of such nice, smart, funny guys. My kids always have had trouble finding like-minded friends in this area, and we would tell them, "Just wait until college - that's when you'll find your tribe". So happy that has proven true for both our boys.? morning chores (I'm being a little lazy this morning and my animals are irritated they haven't been fed yet) get Thai food for lunch pick up a few things at the grocery store see if dd wants to stop at the bookstore or art supply store get a few things for ds19's upcoming birthday evening chores dinner: leftovers from lunch watch hockey tonight (Blackhawks home opener?) 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SKL Posted October 7, 2018 Share Posted October 7, 2018 Hi! Yesterday I was almost totally offline, unless you count the wee hours before I went to bed. Yesterday was half of my birthday celebration, since my birthday was on a somewhat stressful work day. We went out to lunch and saw a movie (Crazy Rich Asians), then walked a couple miles to the phone shop to figure out my kid's 12th birthday present. They had a special so we bought 2 new iphone 8s for $700 (BOGO) (to be billed over time). Need one for the other kid in 3 months anyway. The original plan was to upgrade my phone and give my kid the used one, but it wasn't worth it to me and the kid(s) will be thrilled to have a relatively new version. After walking and having some fresh squeezed juices at a nearby restaurant, I came home and slept until like 8am! Today: Some yoga. Setting up my new computer. Pick up kids from confirmation camp. To art museum for cultural festival. Kid 1 to race. Home - kids' homework & instrument practice, my work. Laundry. Kids to bed.
