PinkTulip
I row on a rowing machine 4-5 days per week for about an hour each time. I have been wearing C9 stuff from Target but am creeping towards a significant weight milestone that I have been working toward for years and I would like to reward myself with some new workout clothes. So if you were rewarding yourself with a few really great things that you normally wouldn't buy, what brands or specific items would you get? I'm set on shoes that I really like, but I'm looking at sports bras (36B), tops, capri pants, etc. Thanks!
edelweiss
My favorite brand is Athleta.
Monica_in_Switzerland
Athleta and Title 9 both have some sports/casual stuff that is great for active lifestyle, but to be honest, the stuff I reach for most for actual workouts is Champion from Target. LOL. When in doubt, buy clothes at Target and drop the $$$ for better shoes! :-D
solascriptura
Athleta without a doubt. They have a 20% off sale items today! Congratulations on your success!
mamaraby
Under Armour or Nike. I have all C9, but dh has some Under Armour running clothes. There is a noticeable quality difference in the fabrics and while the C9 stuff can get stinky over time no matter how carefully I wash them, the UA stuff does not. Rachel
Nike and Brooks are my favorites. They are expensive but I try to find them on clearance. The wicking tops are lighter and wick a lot better than the C9. The tights just fit better and are less likely to roll down. I mostly have less expensive gear from Old Navy, Target, and Dicks but I treat myself to the nicer stuff every once in awhile and definitely think it’s worth it. I also like some Addias and Reebok and have one pair of Under Armor lined tights I like pretty well.
Sarah CB
I can't help it - I love Lululemon. It seems to last forever and I think they've got really cute stuff. I had one pair of pants that was fraying a bit at the seam after about a year and I took it back - no receipt - and they exchanged it for a similar pair of new pants. Customer service is wonderful. I have pants that are ten years old that I can still wear. My pants stay in place - I can't stand pants that I'm constantly pulling up or worrying about. My exercise bras are comfortable and keep everything where it's supposed to be. I don't buy many shirts from Lululemon, but maybe that's because I'm not as worried about shirts doing what they're supposed to be doing. My favourite hoodie is over 10 years old and still going strong.
