MASHomeschooler
If your child scored 760 Verbal/780 Math on the SAT at age 12, would you have the scores kept? What are the upsides and downsides?
Lucy the Valiant
Pro to keeping them: SAT scores are the "language" of many of higher ed's gate-keepers. $.02
Kathy in Richmond
One of mine had very similar middle school scores (old SAT), and we kept them & even submitted them on college apps later on (along with a more current ACT score). One advantage was that this child did not take the SAT again until grade 12, and then only because it was necessary for National Merit. While we didn't do dual enrollment, I imagine they'd be useful for that purpose. We did submit those scores for various summer programs. Not sure if they helped, but they couldn't hurt.
regentrude
I would have them kept. You never know what you might need them for. DD's 7th grade SAT scores came in handy when negotiating early dual enrollment at the university. Arcadia
We kept because it is a good bargaining chip with public and private high school principals. School administrators and district officials understand SAT and ACT scores.
MASHomeschooler
Thanks, all! Looks like we'll keep them.
