Tmhearn
Hi all, My 4 kiddos are in a classical hybrid school (2 days a week). They are using mostly Memoria Press. My issue is that they don't appear to be using anything specific for Grammar. I'd like to go ahead and supplement them with something quick and easy. I'll use FLL for my 2nd grader. What should I do for my 5th grader and 8th grader?
Kiara.I
Grammar for the Well-Trained Mind? Though I don't know if it's quick and easy, you can check out the six-week sample and see if it would fit what you're looking for. OneStepAtATime
Fix-It Grammar (newer version). :15 a day, 4 days a week. Very gentle introduction. Can be used with both the 10 year old and the 7 year old. Start with book one. If you buy the TM in printed form you have access to the Student pages as a PDF at no additional cost. You can print out a separate book for each student.
mytwomonkeys
We supplement with www.quill.org I like it because it's free and I can tailor the assignments. My son is in 8th grade, but it covers all grades. HTH
blondeviolin
Grammar for the Well-Trained Mind is excellent! ETA: Though, if your fifth grader hasn't had much grammar, you might wanna think about FLL 4. SilverMoon
Junior Analytical Grammar for 5th and Analytical Grammar for 8th. If you want something lighter Fix It is a great option.
Tmhearn
Thank you for the quick replies! Just to clarify, we have always homeschooled (mostly following TWTM), so my kids have always had grammar as its own subject. I've used several of the programs mentioned above previously. I'll check out the others. Again, thanks for the suggestions. Taryn
