caedmyn
I think I'd like my rising 6th grader to learn to outline next year. It would be really nice if I don't have to teach it...I suspect she's going to need a lot of repetition to "get it" and my plate is quite full already. Is there a workbook that teaches outlining? I would be open to a language arts curriculum that covers outlining as part of it if it's comprehensive (the outlining part...I doubt we'd use the rest of it) and isn't too expensive. HomeAgain
Writing With Skill. It teaches it pretty well.
Erica in OR
I used this two-book set from Remedia Publications, based on recommendations in the second edition of The Well-Trained Mind. It takes it step-by-step at a fairly gentle pace. She could probably do it independently, with you checking her work. Erica in OR

Tawlas
In the logic stage history chapter, the 4th edition of WTM recommends: Study Skills Strategies: Outlining by Mary Mueller Note Taking and Outlining by QL Pearce Not sure how independent they are though . . .
