TABmom
We're going to be spending a lot of time in the car in a couple weeks. I'd love some ideas for audio books for a 9 year old boy and a 6 yo girl. The girl does NOT like listening to audio books, so I really need something with an engaging narrator or something really funny. We do switch off and let her have music sometimes, but that gets old too. Thanks!

Random
The Penderwicks series The Green Ember The Great Brain series Anne of Green Gables The BFG on Audible uses a great narrator. We all loved it!

HomeAgain
I'd look for audio dramas if you could. Something by the BBC or old radio shows. My teen used to love them as a kid.
domestic_engineer
I'd look for audio dramas if you could. Something by the BBC or old radio shows. My teen used to love them as a kid. Maybe; maybe not. My bunch finds the dramatized versions too ... uh, dramatic .... and don't really like them because it scares them. So for us, I have to find the single narrator version. OP, if you're going on a long trip I'd bring along both a single narrator audiobook and a dramatized one (cast of narrators & sound effects), just in case. ;) We like many of the ones already mentioned; here are some others: Thieves of Ostia Knights Tales Pippi Longstocking Ralph S. TABmom
Thanks for the ideas! Sorry about the double post. I didn't realize it until people had responded to both. We always take quite a few because it seems like we get more "misses" than "hits".
