maize
Dh wants to try a low carb diet. Which means both of us are in need of good resources for beginners. Best sites, books, tips? TIA!
SparklyUnicorn
That's a loaded question. LOL You could start with Atkins (they have a website and books). That's the one I know best, but I do not follow it exactly (and that works out just fine for me). People sometimes poo on how low it is, but you don't have to go that low or start that low. Now they even have various suggested ways of doing it. My argument as to why it's one of the better ones is they don't go crazy claiming you need special foods. So they don't insist you MUST only eat grass fed or that you MUST always use coconut oil. So it's more doable in that sense.
wapiti
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb Also, Volek and Phinney's Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living and/or Low Carbohydrate Performance. Library might have them. Edited January 26, 2017 by wapiti

Hannah
This is great! I love the way everything is shown so visually! In South Africa, Low carb high fat goes by the name banting. A popular sports scientist called Tim Noakes wrote a best selling book called the Real Meal Revolution about it. http://realmealrevolution.com/
Spryte
I love the diet doctor site. I do ketogenics. A spin off of Noakes, I think. I like the site "I breathe I'm hungry" for recipes. There's another called something like ruled me, too, I can't recall the name, but that's close. Edited January 27, 2017 by Spryte
