Dumping old sewing blog bookmarks and need new ones

Recommended Posts

Please share your favorite sewing websites or blogs.

I was looking through my old bookmarks, and I was so disappointed in the results.  Many have gone kaput - either going out of business or blogs no longer running.

I love photo tutorials of simple projects for sewing and how-to explanations like adding a pocket to a skirt or using my serger.

Can you share your favorite online sewing sources so I can update my bookmarks?

Thank you!

I like the Sew Mama Sew site, including the blog. They have a lot of tutorials with photos, and there's a variety of projects and free patterns. Projects range from beginner to advanced. I had a few other blogs bookmarked but like with yours many are no longer active. A few went too far with sponsors and began to look like nothing but advertising.

Anyway, here's the link. I haven't figured out yet how to put links in text on my tablet.

This is my favorite.... Curvy Sewing Collective

Anyone, no matter their size, who wants to lean how to fit patterns to their own unique bodies could learn something from this website.

And also .... Collette Patterns

They have tons of tutorials, including even more articles from Seamworks magazines.

Happy sewing!
