KellyMama
My rising 7th grader DS has a brain for this and loooves tinkering around with programming. We've checkout assorted library coding books and done a little bit on Khan Academy, but I'm thinking he'd really like to jump into it as an elective next year. I'm not sure where to start! We don't want to spend $600 on a course yet (maybe High School) so I'm not sure how to compare or figure out what makes one great and one less-than. Anyone want to weigh-in with their favorites? khope1
Have you looked into youth digital? http://bit.ly/2229z06 A couple of my friends have taken classes through them and LOVED them. They even have a minecraft mod class. My friend's daughter is currently doing the 3d animation class. I know that they also offer discounts through the homeschoolers buyers co-op, but check amazon too for deals.

Momto4inSoCal
My daughter just started youth digital's minecraft mod design 1 and loves it so far. The videos are very engaging and she's had to email for help and they responded in a few hours.
SanDiegoMom
We just got a subscription to tynker.com. I figure we'all use it for awhile and then move on to something else. Not sure how it compares to Youth Digital. It has a big Minecraft tie-in.
