Can't decide if I should go to the doctor.

I have an appointment for next week for my first prenatal. I am feeling really under the weather though, a bit lightheaded and cramps and I've had some spotting which is not usually a thing for me.

 

But I'll have to go to the duty clinic so I probably won't see my gp.

 

I've also just had a really bad cold which may be why I fel off. I just hate going for a silly reason especially to the duty clinic which is for things that can't wait.

 

I can't seem to make a decision.

I think you should trust your gut on this one - if you are early on in pregnancy and are "feeling off", then go to the duty clinic and get checked out.

Have you eaten enough today? Are the cramps more on one side? Cramping plus spotting would worry me, assuming you're talking about being early in pregnancy. Is there an OB on call at the duty clinic?

I would call and talk to your doctor or one if the nurses and tell them your symptoms. They may want to see you sooner.

ANd hydrate well. Cramps can be brought on by dehydration.

Well I guess I will give them a call. There won't be an OB there if it is something more serious they will send me to the local hospital. Gps do normal well women care in our system

Hope you were able to be seen today- and that everything is ok.  Feeling lightheaded is enough to warrant a visit- I don't like worrying about passing out or falling and injuring myself.    :grouphug:

I didn't get in yesterday, as dh was late home.  I couldn't see waiting at the ER for hours, if I need to go its a few minutes away. 

 

I'll see if I feel better today and go this evening if not.  My appointment is Monday in any case.
