tmstranger
I'm looking for something to mix up science for the kids a bit. Are these kits worth the money? I was thinking about something like "Eco-Battery Vehicles" or anything else the kids can mess around with and learn something from. I'd love to hear some feedback if you've used these kits before. Here's the link to the one I mentioned above: http://www.hometrainingtools.com/eco-battery-vehicles
TrixieB
I bought a couple T&K kits. My kids didn't like them, except for the optical illusions kit. The components mostly seemed low quality, and some of the instruction booklets were printed in tiny font.
Jackie
We've used a few and really liked them. The materials are mediocre quality - better than in the Magic School Bus kits but only sturdy enough for a few uses. The guides gave clear instructions for everything and basic information on the science behind it.
kolamum
We own several T&K kits & all have gotten rave reviews here. Mind you we have things like the Chemistry Kit, physics, etc.
gstharr
We just finished a science fair project using parts from the T&K physic/solar kit and an Erector set. The erector parts were far easier to assemble into something workable and fair quality. . As to the science in T&K, the writing was over the head of my strong 10yr old reader. JudoMom
We've also used a lot of them and have been pleased with them.
tmstranger
hmmm...mixed reviews! LOL! I wonder if there is a better quality option out there...of course, that price tag would likely be even higher! Thank you for relaying your experiences. FriedClams
My kids didn't care for them, but we loved the ASK kits. http://www.academyofscienceforkids.com/They're a little pricey but worth it for the convenience and thoroughness of the kits.
Arcadia
For the physics ones, my kids improvise with the Lego Technic pieces they already have. My hubby was not willing to pay for T&K kits even with the 30% off coupon at Barnes and Noble or 40 to 50% off coupon at Michaels.
