BlsdMama
I've had sciatica before in pregnancy - originating around the tailbone and shooting down my legs. This feels so similar, like sciatica, but it originates in my foot, specifically the heel. It's so weird. There is NO bumps, injuries, swollen or tender area. But I can tell very specifically where it is (the heel) and it tingles all the way up to my knee and even (on two separate days) to my hip. It has to be something with the nerve, but has this happened to anyone? It's been going on for a few weeks now. It's not ALWAYs there, just usually. I can feel it even just sitting, but bothers me the most when stepping. It's better on days when I'm on my feet all day long ( I think that's weird too) and worse on days when I take it easy or take naps.

BlsdMama
Are you diabetic? Nope, I'm really pretty small and no history of Diabetes except a grandpa when he was early 80s. My blood sugar behaves quite well, even pregnant, and I had it tested (fasting) around August as part of a physical.
6packofun
Sometimes nerve entrapment mimcs plantar fasciitis pain. I have both--PF in one foot, nerve pain from the heel in my other! Argh. (I don't know enough about anatomy to know WHERE the source of the nerve issue is, though, honestly.) Stretching and foam rolling the achilles and calves are pretty important. Also, any of the exercises for PF, like grasping marbles with your toes or scrunching up a rolled towel with your toes, etc. can help. gardenmom5
sounds like plantar fascitis. do some serious massaging of your calf. what can happen is the calf muscles become tight - and start pulling on muscles, ligaments, and tendons in your ankle, heel, and foot.
