Melissa in Australia
just came back from mammoth trip to Melbourne to see specialist for twin 1. He has sever tallipies and wears AFOs 24/7 Orthotics Specialist and a whole panel of specialists decided that he needs to have a 6 week treatment of full leg plasters from toes to hips on both legs. that will mean twice weekly trips to Melbourne for 6 weeks. It takes me 7 hours each way to get to Melbourne by public transport. Twin one has had this treatment before, when he was not walking. He actually has nightmares of having this treatment. He will not have any leg movement for the whole 6 weeks. He will not be able to walk or anything. he will need full assistance to go to the toilet etc. He is a very active little boy. He has only just in the last week got over his PTS flashback form immunization + access visit. UGH! Treatment could be happening as soon as 3 weeks. I am looking into Angel flights. DH said he will do some of the trips. I do not know how we will get through it. we are already struggling with the amount of traveling we are doing. Twin 2 has major separation anxiety and he doesn't cope being separated form twin one for a few minutes ( lets face it the only constant person in his whole life has been his brother) angel flights will not allow siblings to come along. Breath in...... Breath out...... DH keeps telling me we will get through it, because there is no other option except to get through it. the strain on the family will be HUGE. Today we hit the range and I tried out several new guns. We had 240 trick or treaters in 1 1/2 hours...ran out of candy half way through. :scared: Hit WM after our candy shortage..came home and crashed for the night. Hope everyone had a great day!
