Ottakee
I just got an email about this new gap year program a camp is offering. http://www.graceadventures.org/ascent/ It looks really neat. Not sure what the exact costs are but might be a great fit for some kids. The camp that is hosting it has a very good reputation for kids camp programs.

MyThreeSons
It sounds similar to this program, which my youngest son plans to attend this next year, if we can get the finances worked out: http://www.onelifepath.org/
Ottakee
I wish they would have had these options available years ago.
DawnM
Huh, it says your "gap year" can count towards 18 college credits toward your degree.

MyThreeSons
Huh, it says your "gap year" can count towards 18 college credits toward your degree. In the OneLife program I shared above, it's 30 credits, but they are careful to explain that not all colleges will accept those credits for transfer. My son will be doing it for the real-life and ministry training, the relationship building, and the experience, with any transferrable credits a bonus.
