  1. Interesting! Thanks for the link :)
  2. Biblioplan for families schedules both (along with other resources). It isn't free, but we like it :) http://www.biblioplan.net/2011/03/biblioplans-free-samples-free-sample.html

  5. Is there a nice chart somewhere that shows which pages in the new edition CWP 1 correlate with the topics in Singapore 1A and 1B? Thanks!
  6. I use R&S until each child is ready for Saxon's 5/4 book. I personally don't care for the Saxon grade 1-3 books. They are thorough enough, I just prefer the straight forward nature of the R&S.
  7. I like Rod and Staff and Saxon Math for just the reasons you stated. I have never used BJU.
  8. Can I use grade 1 language arts successfully without grade 1 reading? Thanks!

  10. I just started Atkins with "The New Atkins for a New You" book on Monday and I am already down 3.5 pounds. I have 40 pounds to lose to be a healthy BMI. Good Luck Everyone!
  11. Amish country around Harmony, MN is fun. You can do a tour of farms. There are also some caves around this area that you can tour.
  12. I don't have an answer for you, because I have been looking at this for my son too. However, CBD.com has the set for $27.99, that's only a couple of dollars more than the student book alone. I would say go for the set :) http://www.christianbook.com/jump-in-kit-2-volumes/sharon-watson/pd/437014?item_code=WW&netp_id=461233&event=ESRCG&view=details
  13. Oldest dd had no desire to have pierced ears until she was nearly 15. Youngest dd is a princess in training and begged to have them done at 6. Basically dh and I waited until each girl REALLY wanted it done.
  14. These SCM downloadable and typeable charts are from Planning Your Charlotte Mason Education and are SO useful. http://simplycharlottemason.com/books/planning-your-charlotte-mason-education/links-tips/
  15. I was 20 and will be married 16 years this month. Zero regrets and I truly hope my children marry young as well.
  16. If you PM me I will give you my email......
  17. This is our first year with HOD too. We are doing Preparing and Beyond. We are LOVING both. I can't believe I used to think I wouldn't like a planned curriculum. We moved just a few weeks ago, and I chose HOD for simplicity, but we are loving this year more than any other! I am already looking to next year and thinking of having my high schooler use REV 2 REV slightly modified. Glad you all are so happy too!
  18. My 14yo dd loves Bath and Body Works. She particularly likes their wallflowers.
  19. My 10 year old son and 5 year old daughter share a room and probably will for another year or so. They still love it :D. I plan to switch things up before my son turns 12.
  20. I *LOVE* Atkins. The new book is great! Atkins also has a very useful website.
  21. This thread is making me feel so much better. :tongue_smilie: My son also did this when he was eight and I was too embarrassed to tell anyone  Now, I'm adding it to my "Disgusting but Normal Things Boys Do" list. Thanks hive!
