lexi
My younger kids are enjoying some comic books. My son likes the Mighty Robot ones. My younger daughter likes baby mouse. My oldest daughter enjoys Garfield. What else would she like? She reads very well so she wants ones with more text than the ones her younger siblings read. Ideas for my 9 year old reader?? Thanks! rutheart
My 10yo started reading the Tintin comics by Herge last year and loves them. She now has all but one of the books. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=dp_byline_sr_book_1?ie=UTF8&field-author=Herg%C3%A9&search-alias=books&text=Herg%C3%A9&sort=relevancerank For web reading, she also likes What If? http://what-if.xkcd.com/archive/ For novels with lots of graphics, she likes the Bad Kitty series by Nick Bruel. Chrysalis Academy
Calvin and Hobbes seems to be a big hit for this age group.

alisoncooks
My nearly 9yo loves: Dragon Girl: The Secret Valley (Jeff Weigel) -- only one so farther this author Sisters (Raina Telgemeier) -- the other comic books by this author are a bit mature My Little Pony Friendship is Magic -- there are a lot of graphic novels from this show, we like them Our library also has a ton of literature redone in graphic novel format: The Wizard of Oz books, fairy tales, etc. Shannon Hale has written a few GNs: Rapunzel's Revenge and Calamity Jack. These were a little above my girls when we read them last year, but they liked them.

Miss Tick
Mrs. Weasley had a nice list, I particularly want to second Amulet and Rapunzel's Revenge. Both have sequels, too.

Tanaqui
Ack, forgot Foiled! That's not as much of a favorite, though - I've only had to buy one copy.
Aurelia
DD LOVES Bone. She even sleeps with it under her pillow occasionally. Also, not a comic book, but the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books are much loved. There are pictures on pretty much every page, I think.
