mamato4
So what kinds of papers are assigned for medieval lit? How is the rest of the class? What is the reading load like? Does the teacher give feedback about writing? Teacher's name? The reading every week is intensive. Teacher is Aaron Wells. He requires a summary of the reading every week. Yes, he does give feedback. DD had to write one two-page response paper last semester. I can't remember if there were any other assignments requiring writing other than the summaries. I guess I was expecting more writing, but DD is getting that in her medieval history class so it's a balanced workload for her.

RootAnn
Days/Times are posted - at least for some of the classes. I didn't check them all.
WTMA Headmaster
We just finished posting the schedules yesterday, and I'd be more than happy to answer any pre-registration questions on the this new thread. We pinned it at the top of the General Education Discussion Board to make it easier to find. I hope this helps!
fourisenough
Well, I took the plunge and registered my daughter for AOPS & Singapore style Pre-Algebra and Story of the Ancients. Can't wait!
Woodland Mist Academy
I wanted to wholeheartedly recommend the Biology class with Mrs Upperman. She is a wonderful teacher and my son has been very happy with his class. I would be interested in hearing anything you'd like to share about this class! Thanks!
WTMA Headmaster
My rising 10th grade ds is an average student with an average motivation/work ethic. Would American history, American literature, Conceptual Chemistry, and Rhetoric 1 be to much? Angela, We have quite a few students taking 4-5 classes, and I expect your student will thrive in the live classroom environment. "Average" students are energized as they participate in discussions and see other students mastering the concepts and material which they initially think is beyond their reach. As a parent, you will most likely find yourself in a position to better focus on other activities or courses you may still be teaching at home. :)
