Peplophoros
Do you collect fees online? How do you do it? Paypal? I'm concerned with the fees, since we don't collect a lot of money to begin with... Any suggestions would be welcome!
mom2att
We use PayPal and make the fee part of the payment. We are a large group with many and various payments, so PayPal makes things tremendously easier on our administrators.
texasmama
No paypal. No checks. Cash only. Easy peasy. :)
SebastianCat
We got to the point, when our co-op got large enough to need a website and school supplies purchased, that we started charging a "registration fee" of $10 per child per year. Of that, $7 per family covers the website, about $3 per child covers school supplies, some goes toward "overages" in the event that we need to replace something that is broken, etc. PayPal fees get rolled into that fee as well. If you collect money for very specific things, I'd just add in the Paypal fee. There are fee calculator websites that you can run to find out exactly how much it will be. I have found that Paypal adds a layer of convenience that many families love, and anything I can do to make it easier for them is worth it. KungFuPanda
The co-op collects the registration fees as cash or checks. Individual class fees are paid directly to that teacher.
mrs.m
I don't think our members would pay with paypal. Checks are preferred over cash.
Justmeandyou
Paypal. Our co-op is large, roughly 100 families. We charge $40 per family per year to join.
Prairie~Phlox
Checks or cash when you submit your registration and same when classes start, directly to the teacher except for the younger grades.
