Night Elf
The guy is here to replace my windshield. It's got a crack in it, and because it's longer than a dollar bill, the insurance is replacing it. Also, my mirror sticks to the windshield. I'm worried both the windshield and mirror will be weakened somehow. Please tell me you got your windshield replaced and everything is fine. I don't know if I can handle stories of it going wrong. :tongue_smilie: Oh, my part will be about $250. I figure it's worth it because that dumb crack has had me so worried. Pawz4me
We've had at least four or five windshields replaced over the years with absolutely no problem.
momto10blessings
We need a new windshield probably every other year. We've never had problems. We usually pay $225-250 total for a replacement/installation on our large van or truck, so it sounds like either the company you are using costs a ton or the insurance company isn't actually covering any of the cost... PinkyandtheBrains.
Everything is fine :) Although I think windshields is something our insurance actually covers 100% of,
Night Elf
I don't know the total cost, but I wouldn't be surprised if my $250 was part of my deductible. My insurance company uses Safelite Auto, so I didn't have a choice. I'm cool with it though. Now off to run errands. :)
bettyandbob
I had my windshield replaced 2 days ago. This is the third time I've done a windshield replacement. All have been out of pocket and all cost around what you are paying. So, I wonder if your insurance is actually covering anything. With regards to the replacement windshields, we've never had a problem.

Cinder
Yep, all fine here too. Even with re-gluing the mirror to the windshield, it was all OK.
