kokotg
http://quotation-marks.blogspot.com/ I found a great one at a restaurant near our house I'm not sure if they mean to say, "you can do whatever you want in here, as long as you call it 'washing your hands'" or maybe they just want to emphasize, "hey--we didn't make up this rule. We're just quoting the 'health inspector.'" Either way, I don't know that we should keep eating there....
unsinkable
That is sooooo funny! Sometimes you have to "wonder" if "people" think that quotation marks are for some type of "emphasis."
dawn of ns
That is sooooo funny! Sometimes you have to "wonder" if "people" think that quotation marks are for some type of "emphasis." That's exactly what they think! At least, that's the only conclusion I can come to. Every instance of quotation mark misuse I've witnessed has been an instance where they seemed to want to add extra emphasis.
Mrs Mungo
I love that site, it's almost as good as cake wrecks.
Sahamamama
Is there only one "employee" working there? I don't see an "s." :D
kokotg
Is there only one "employee" working there? I don't see an "s." :D Maybe it's just that only one of the employees is required to "wash hands"
Plaid Dad
My favorite was a sign in a restaurant in San Francisco: Soup of the day: "Chicken Noodle" :001_huh:
gardening momma
You should submit your picture to her blog (although her FAQ says she's about 6 weeks behind). Plaid Dad: Better "Chicken Noodle" than "Chicken" Noodle or Chicken "Noodle" :001_smile:
