DB in NJ
Why does he hold on for so long? http://www.wjno.com/cc-common/news/sections/newsarticle.html?feed=244038&article=4117332 Ouch! Apparently, he was strapped in, and didn't have time to unhitch himself. If he were just holding on, he would've let go. The poor guy's in critical condition; he was unconscious when he was brought in to the hospital. Why do people have to do this stuff during these storms??? Everybody thinks they're invincible these days.....(well, not everyone. you know what I mean).
MyBlueLobsters
I would LOVE to do that....on a nice calm peaceful day! The thing that got me was that he hit the ground.....then went up again, I would think he could have let go at the point he hit the ground.....in any case...OUCH! Academy of Jedi Arts
The way I understand it, you fasten yourself to the bar, so it's not just a matter of letting go. Really dumb to be out there when a tropical storm is coming, though.

Parrothead
Like emergency personnel don't have enough to do without having to bring his stupid self in during a tropical storm. Sorry things like that hit me the wrong way.

Jennifer3141
That kind of thing annoys the wits out of me. You want to be stupid? Great. Do it on your own time and on your own dime. Either this guy had insurance and just caused his insurance company to raise their rates to all their other policy holders (because that's how insurance companies reclaim the money they pay out) or he has no insurance so we all have to pay for him. mysticamethyst
Stupid should hurt and really stupid should really hurt.......I'm sorry he is hurt....but what was he thinking or not thinking? :iagree: Sometimes a person just has to learn the hard way, his was really hard. I hope he recovers fully and that learned something for this.
