pink&bluemommy
I'm trying to book our final week at Disney before our passes expire. My usual afvclub.com doesn't have anything I'm really interested in, but thats the price range I'm looking at (less than $400 for a week for a 2 bedroom 2 bath very close to Disney). So, where do you all book your weeks? I need to travel before mid-April (and we live pretty close and homeschool so aren't terribly picky about when). LibraryLover
VRBO.com Look for Windsor Hills or Windsor Palms. A one bedroom would be cheaper. The kids could sleep on the fold out sofa in the living room, the baby with you. You would only have one bath, however.
pink&bluemommy
Ha, haven't updated my signature in a while! They are almost 5, 8, and 11 now! I like the two bedroom better but have pondered a 1, but I don't want the kids in the living room because I will be up later puttering in the kitchen. I could work it out though. DawnM
Our last stay was at Regal Palms in a 4 bedroom through SkyAuction.com.
Lanny
DawnM is an "expert" (not a word I apply to people frequently) on one or 2 ways to do this. She buys a certificate on SkyAuction.com http://www.skyauction.com/ for approximately USD$260 + $20 fee. Click near the top where it says "Hot Deals" and then "Deals of the Day" and you will see "Vacation Certificates". Click for Details and you will be on this URL: http://www.skyauction.com/action/offer/2326401 Down lower, click where it says "View availability here" http://www.resortcerts.com/preview_resorts On the upper left side, put in where and when you want to be there and it will show you availability. You purchase the certificate from SkyAuction.com and then redeem it on ResortCerts.com I hope to do this for an October 2014 (or possibly November 2014) vacation to Orlando. Hopefully, DawnM will see this thread and she can share her experience with you! I hope I understand this correctly and have given you correct information! zoobie
We book beach condos through VRBO. I haven't personally used them for WDW because we stay on-site, but a friend found a private home with pool they really enjoyed.
pink&bluemommy
Hmmm, the sky auction thing wouldn't help. The choices at the certificate redemtion place are worse than at afvclub (which is normal). Thanks. I may just go with something at afvclub. NavyMommy
Have you tried vrbo.com? We've found some good deals there as well. We like to stay at Orange Lake which is nearby and has all kinds of condos. We've also had luck getting a week time share rental from ebay if you wanted to look that route.
