sassenach
At a baby shower last night, an older lady in my life told a young mother that if she let the baby stay in her room past 6 weeks, the baby wouldn't ever sleep well, and she knows 2 people who got divorced because of such choices. I managed to BOTH not insult anyone (hurray!) and let the mom know that we co-slept all of our kids with great success, leading to neither sleep deprivation, nor divorce. It feels like a huge accomplishment. This lady is a significant presence in my life and she drives me CRAZY. I'm pretty regularly having to bite straight through my tongue in her presence. zoobie
Good for you! I shocked one old busy body who was lecturing me on co-sleeping by saying there were other places for recreation than the bed. I'm pregnant with #4 and happily married still... She's divorced with one kid but an expert on EVERYTHING.

trulycrabby
Good for you!!! From everything I have seen, co sleeping makes for secure, happy babies. We didn't co-sleep per se, but ds9 had a portable crib right slam up against our bed, and we all slept great!
