If you use this would you mind telling me how often you wash it, how you wash it (special detergent?) how you clean it between washings, etc. Also, if you have a website where you purchased your fleece or did you buy it from a pet store, etc. Thanks for any and all help! SewLittleTime Posted December 9, 2013 Share Posted December 9, 2013 We have fleece in our piggies' cage. I made them out of old fleece blankets we had and uhaul pads. I have 2 complete sets. The boys clean the cage daily. They shake the fleece outside getting as much hay as possible and throw it in the washer. I buy cheap laundry soap especially for the pigs that way they aren't using up all our laundry soap. It is way cheaper than the paper bedding. My biggest complaint about the fleece is that my boys don't get enough of the hay off and often I have hay in my washer. TeachingTwins Posted December 10, 2013 Share Posted December 10, 2013 We use the fleece flippers with u-haul pad pieces purchased at guineapigmarket.com. We flip them over after 3 or 4 days, and wash the fleece once a week. I add a cup of vinegar to the wash for extra cleaning. It works really well. kristen18 Posted December 10, 2013 Share Posted December 10, 2013 We bought ours from Piggy Bedspreads to fit a C & C cage. My daughter sweeps it once a day, and I wash it once a week.
