*lifeoftheparty*
When we go to Orlando, we go for 2 weeks- we spend 8-10 days doing Disney and add in other stuff. This time, we are adding in 2 days at Legoland and 2-3 days at Universal. We'll be staying in a condo or house at Windsor Hills. So, is it a reasonable commute to Legoland from the Disney area? I can't decide if we should get a hotel room for 2 nights near the park, or just commute from Windsor Hills....
TrulySusan
I think it takes about an hour on the interstate. It was a very easy drive. I wouldn't add on a hotel expense, especially since Legoland doesn't stay open very late.
Tess in the Burbs
You can drive there and back easily and do the park all day. We only needed one day to do it all, including several movies. Get the apple fries!!!!
Lady Florida.
It's about an hour from the Disney area. Don't worry about staying over because it's a pretty easy drive back to Orlando.
Alicia64
Here's the outstanding article we used to make decisions. And, no, the drive from the Disney World vicinity to Legoland isn't bad. It's an hour or so, but it's pleasant. Two days at Legoland is a good idea. There's a lot to do and see and one day would be exhausting. Check this article out we found it really helpful: http://www.familyvacationcritic.com/legoland-florida-family-vacation/dfv/ Click the word "more" to get the full article. Also click the little blue windows that have a lot of helpful info. Have fun! Alley

I want to buy a vacation home in Orlando so that when we are older, we can spend the winter in Disney World :)
Dmmetler
Take minifigs to trade (like the pins at Disney)-the "model citizens" wear them on their badges and will trade them if asked.
