Desert Rat
Hello Jean, I've been up since 2 with a nasty cough. Done: Watched 2 episodes of Lost Girl, one episode of Criminal Minds and one and half episodes of Being Human before the kids woke up. Made breakfast Showered Ds9-Spelling test 12/13) and Latin test (28/36) done Ds12- Vocab test (39/40) Weekly filing done. Dishes finished Beds made... sort of To Do: Start lesson prep for next week Hair appointment for Mom, boys and me at 1:30 Try to feel better about the job I'm doing with my oldest. He didn't understand any of the writing even after I explained it to him a couple times and he seems to be having an all-around hard time these days. I'm having an "S" day today: Sick, sad, and slow. At least it's Friday and we don't have anything planned this weekend. That's a bonus. And my wonderful dh ran to the store and got me cough medicine. It tastes like mint gum. Liquid mint gum, but it is helping, I think.
Lizzie in Ma
Mostly avoiding things today. Have to go out to the feed and grain store for pet food at some point. Still waiting for my turn in the shower. Still working up the wherewithal to knit the second of my first socks since I had to undo the whole thing when it turned out shorter than the other one. Still avoiding a new book because I just finished a fantastic series and I am not ready to dive into something else. I did blog and set it to post first thing tomorrow. I did grab a bunch of 7th grade stuff on my shelves to being putting it together for next year for youngest dd. It's sitting here in a pile. Still sulking because my Lego Lord of the Rings game glitched on me last night and I lost a few hard won hours of stuff. I never have time to play so I was pretty peeved. Shakespeare class this afternoon then dinner and a movie at my best friend's. I am a slacker today.

Jean in Newcastle
Lots of spaghetti tonight, it looks like! Today's music is brought to you by David Garrett. Today's detour project was dealing with the top of the aquarium because I had to borrow some tubing for dd's science experiment.
Jean in Newcastle
Having a really hard time today. What I thought was going to be my 8th painfree day isn't. It isn't a flare as such - just back to my usual achiness and swimming through concrete feeling. I'm just not used to it because I got a break. I'm slogging through. My dh doesn't get to take off work when he's tired and not up to par. Neither do my kids. So I don't either. I've started a load of laundry, We've worked on the printer but it is being a PITA so I don't know if our fix worked or not yet. Dd is set up for her science experiment. I've unloaded the dishwasher. Next up: Load the dishwasher with the dirty dishes and hit the wash button.

Jean in Newcastle
Thanks, DR. Kitchen clean. Spelling test given and graded. Japanese done. Next up: My neighbor is coming over. Classic signs of a panic attack.
Julie Smith
Your question: Who's going to tackle Friday with me? My answer: Not me.
Jean in Newcastle
OK - neighbor's panic attack under control for now. I hope. I ended up giving her my bottle of Rescue Remedy to help ensure that she won't be back here again today. I'm trying not to be miffed that my free time between a.m. school and lunch is almost all gone. I have 5 min. left. Next up: lunch.

Desert Rat
Back from the hairdresser's and in my pajamas! Ds12 and I just got trims but ds9 changed his hair drastically and it looks so good! He went from a shoulder length shag to short (#3 guard) on the sides and textured on the top. I convinced him to try it for his 10 th birthday coming up. :) He's getting used to it by I already love it. Pizza tonight and I got 3 loads of laundry done today with dh's help. You're hacking away at that to do list, Jean! Well done!

Susan in TN
Friday! Spaghetti and broccoli Looks like music festival application is not going to happen today. The letters of recommendation have not come in as promised and we can't send the application without them. We can send it after tonight's early deadline, but the cost goes up and scholarship availability goes way down. I'm struggling to trust that God is working all things for the good. I'm going to get the littles in bed and watch TV for a while.
Jean in Newcastle
I'm sorry Susan. I hate when stuff like that happens. 1 hour Zumba. I led one song almost entirely by myself and only got confused once!
