NotSoObvious
My step mom's birthday is in a few days and I never know what to get her. She's so laid back, doesn't wear jewelry, and works for a huge clothing company, so she never needs clothes. She likes to cook and she's into crafts- but not in a huge hobby kind of way, if that makes sense. She is a great photographer and loves to travel. They have a big trip to Latin America in a few months. Any ideas? I'm having a really hard time. Thanks!!!
Guest inoubliable
Is the trip to Latin America going to be spent in a hotel or resort? You could get a spa trip or sightseeing trip paid for them?
Reeciecup
Maybe a book? A craft or cook book, or maybe one about photography?
Alexigail
As a crafter (is that a word?) I always appreciate a gift card to a craft store so that I can get whatever supplies I need at a given time.
Caroline
I some some framed pictures where the mat had been replaced (or probably covered) with a map of where the picture was taken. Could you put a few of those together with maps of destinations from their upcoming trip? Do you have access to her photos? You could make a photo book or calendar using her prints. athena1277
I have trouble coming up with gifts for mine and dh's parents. Last year I finally decided to order flowers for both moms for their birthdays. I ordered from Proflowers.com and they were really nice. They usually have good discount deals. Tap
If she loves to cook, what about a Latin America cook book and some spices/peppers/oils to go with it? Here is a link with some cook book ideas. If you budget allows, I would also toss in a Latin CD to have some dinner music to go along with the cookbook.
