Remudamom
I do not have to accept every friend request. I do not have to worry about hurting feelings. I just don't want everyone on my fb. Is that okay?
Impish
As long as I'm on there. :tongue_smilie: Seriously, it's fine. (as long as I'm on there)
HomeschoolMamaOfTwo
Your facebook, your choice. :)
*Inna*
You have my permission. :D A couple of weeks ago I put my uncle into the restricted folder (we're still friends, but he cannot see my posts or pictures).
Remudamom
I feel bad. This person is a friend of the family, I just don't want him on my fb. No reason. I don't want to hurt feelings. Probably he won't even notice I didn't accept. I ignored someone from church til they got the message. Felt icky.
LaxMom
I find, if I leave it in my requests and do nothing, they forget about it. I suspect I stop coming up as "people you may know" that way, but I don't know. And yes, it's fine to have boundaries. In life and in virtual life. TammyinTN
Absolutely! I went through my friends list and deleted more than half of the people...I just didn't want everyone in our business and some people just couldn't respect our boundaries. I've been much happier since. :)
Elinor Everywhere
Of course you can! I only have FB friends who are truly friends...in other words, I do (or have in the past) hang out with them, and they are part of my life. I share photos and personal things, and I sure don't want mere acquaintances reading my wall. I also have a "rule" that if someone hasn't commented or at least liked a post in a year, I defriend them. Obviously they are either not on FB or are not interested in my life! ladyinthegarden
I won't even friend my husband on facebook. Your facebook is your choice. My facebook rule is, if that person was small enough to carry around in my purse all day, would I want them there? :D I wouldn't want added to anyone's facebook, only to be ignored, because they are friend collectors. Maybe it wouldn't be so hard for you if the think of it that way.
BrookValley.
I ignored my mother's friend request, and I'm thinking about un-friending my MIL. I love them and have a good relationship with both, I just think there's some people I shouldn't be FB friends with...and they are two of them. ;)
