justme824
Anybody read this? Trying to decide if it would be a good fit for my almost nine-year-old?
TKDmom
I haven't read it but my 9 and 11yos LOVED all three books in the set. And they had fun making origami Yodas, too. ;) ETA: I can try to get a summary from one of them and call that school for the day of you'd like... Farrar
Yes. It's not high literature, but it's a sweet story and a fun read and there are some very middle schoolish philosophical questions in it. There is some romance, so I while it's not inappropriate in any way (the boys just want to ask the girls to the dance) I think it's not the best for younger kids who may not identify with the central theme as much. My 8 yos spotted it and were interested in it years ago because of the Star Wars theme and I was just thinking they'd be old enough now to enjoy it actually. jujsky
My son has read the entire series and can't wait for the next one to come out. I haven't read them, but he enjoys them quite a bit.
Mandylubug
My 9 and 10 year old boys like them. They are fluff, but appropriate.

Mom-ninja.
I seriously thought the title of your thread said "origami yoga" and I thought to myself, "Wow! I need to try that type of yoga." :smilielol5:
