Why has my refrigerator turned into a leaky faucet?

On and off over the past couple weeks we have found a puddle of water on the kitchen floor and the bottom of the fridge filled with water. The stuff in the freezer is frozen solid - so nothing is thawing/dripping from there. We don't have a water dispenser or ice maker of any kind.

Where is this water coming from?!? (And can it be fixed?)

There is defrosting going on in most modern freezers, even if you don't realize it. Most refrigerators have a drip pan underneath them (usually where you pull off that little grate thing at the bottom front). There are drain hoses. Yours is probably clogged.http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/articles/authored/how-to-get-rid-of-refrigerator-puddles

We had this problem with our's . DH researched it and found out that the drain tube was too close to the freezer coils in the back and therefore the liquid in the drain tube was freezing. We had to unplug it and completely thaw it out. Then he ran a copper wire up the inside of the drain tube and tada! No more leaking inside our fridge.

Similar solution to the same problem.
