astrid
Anyone been? We're thinking of planning a day trip; Molly really wants to visit the museum, but it looks like some of the tours are for school groups, etc. So what's the scoop on Orchard Street? astrid
AngelaNYC
I took my kids there a few years ago. Loved it. We did the Victoria Confino tour with our homeschool group. Although school groups go, the museum considers a family their own group or they will put together groups of people themselves for each tour. Melinda in VT
I loved the Tenement Museum. I went two years ago with my mom, sister, and SIL. Our tour group was made up of other independent sightseers--solo travelers, a family, a couple.
QueenCat
If you go, share with us afterwards. I've seen their online information. I would love to go if I ever get to the city.
trafal
I've been twice as they have several different tours. Great both times. I highly recommend it.
azucena
I have not been to the museum (shame on me!), but can recommend the book 97 Orchard: An Edible History of Five Immigrant Families as a good grown-up read.
gingersmom
I haven't been to the museum but that area is a foodies paradise. If you are in that area you must must must go to Doughnut Plant. You will never look at doughnuts the same.
whitestavern
We went and loved it. They set up small groups of people to tour. I believe there are three different tours you can do (each requiring separate admission).
