Night Elf
How do you get rid of old laptops and desktops? I want them out of my storage room.
Mommyof4ks
If they still work you can take them to an electronic store for store credit. If the do not work, then I would look around at programs aimed at kids learning about computers or tinkering clubs for kids where they can use some of those parts to build other things. VeganCupcake
Freecycle is an easy way for me to get rid of stuff like that.
dbmamaz
I dont think you can get credit for them if they are more than 2 years old. the best buy near me recycles them - but i think you have to remove the hard drive first, for security reasons
Lara in Colo
WE have a place here in Denver that takes them, plus printers, copiers etc.... They tear them apart and do *something* with the parts. Lara
SunnyDays
If you have an Office Depot nearby... http://www.officedepot.com/specialLinks.do?file=/promo/pages/0928_recycling.jsp&template=customerservice You have to pay for the box to cover recycling costs, and as was already mentioned, make sure you clean EVERYTHING off your hard drive first or remove it. Starr
Once a year our county has a day for dangerous waste. The cars are lined up forever.
Pawz4me
Any Goodwill here will take them. They have a partnership with Dell to refurbish them, and then they come back to Goodwill to be sold.
