BlueTaelon
Money showed up in my account early and I noticed some places are closed tomorrow but no holiday is on the calender.
bettyandbob
Columbus Day is a Federal Holiday on October 8. I don't know what tomorrow is.
tabrizia
No clue. Columbus day is next Monday the 8th. I mean technically it is Sukkot, but that one isn't relevant unless it is a very Jewish area. I don't know of any other holiday going on tomorrow. itsheresomewhere
Sukkot but it is not a federal holiday.
Dory
Are you in an area with a large Jewish community because I would've guessed Sukkot as well.
amo_mea_filiis.
I was wondering too. I usually get ds's disability on the first which is tomorrow. It was there on friday. Weird.

DragonFaerie
I don't know about the closings, but the money may just be because the last day of the month is today (a Sunday). A lot of times, places will do their banking the night before they are due, and since that is a Sunday, they may have just done them on Friday (the last business day before they would be due). I had a deposit show up this weekend, too. I'm guessing they just processed it on Friday.
Unicorn.
Thank you for the reminder. I need to gear up for my anti-Columbus speech ;) My dd (14) got mad at the calendar and crossed out the word Columbus, and replace it w/ Explorer's. So we have Explorer's Day next week. At least I taught them something!
ChristusG
Weird. My mom mentioned having an unexpected deposit on Friday as well.

Thats what it was, SSI which was supposed to go in on the 1st and its marking pending effective 10/1 but its already listed as available funds. The only time we have had the money prior to the first is if the first is a weekend or holiday. I find it weird but not complaining!

I find it weird but not complaining! Thats why I figured it had to be a holiday. I'm afraid to spend the money until tomorrow but I'd love to get my shopping done today.
