blondeviolin
Did I mention it's raining here? :glare::glare: So, we have the 3yo bring the book in. As she carries it in, it is dripping water all over the carpet. And she has the was-once-hardback book folded in half. :001_huh: Something tells me that we'll be paying to replace that... I think we all have had a similar experience! Why do all of the book tragedies involve only LIBRARY books?!?!
sewingmama
Why do all of the book tragedies involve only LIBRARY books?!?! Isn't that the truth. Countless library books destroyed here -not one that we actually own :glare: Our library allows us to buy our own replacement so I usually order it from the book depository and take it in. It usually works out $10 at least cheaper that way -our library editions are very expensive :001_huh:

Library editions are usually bound differently to hold up to the harder use. My best friend (who worked at a book store at the time) bought me a library bound edition of The Princess Bride after I wore out a couple of paperbacks. ;)
