Farmgirl70
I've lurked on these boards for years, occasionally posting. But I thought you might enjoy this video my daughter made reflecting on her transition from homeschooler to college student. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=R_aMQvDF0MM
Starr
She's darling. How are things at college?
Farmgirl70
She's doing well with her classes and enjoying most of them...still looking and waiting for friends. Transitions always hit her a bit hard and college is no exception, but she's going to be fine. Thanks for watching. Somehow I had been scared that she'd arrive at college and look at me and say, "Mom! What were you thinking, homeschooling me so long?" But it looks like my fears were unfounded after a few weeks at college now. She feels well prepared and is grateful for the years of homeschooling at this point. I guess I've had my own settling in to do with her in college. Transitions for everyone!
1Togo
Dd and I enjoyed this. Your daughter has a great sense of humor, and dd says she's heard the "pj" and "how do you meet other people" questions many times. Farmgirl70
Thanks everyone! She'll be glad that so many people watched her video! (Quite a number of views today :) ). She made this a while ago, but I only thought of sharing it here today.

Farmgirl70
Thanks! I think she'll do well, too. It's being a big transition for her right now, though!
FLDebbie
College is a big transition for everyone. It took me about a semester to really start to feel right there. (I went to a school where I knew no one and most of my friends went to UF a couple of hours away.) She seems like she has a good head on her shoulders and a good sense of humor. I'm sure she'll manage the transition and likely be quite successful there.
