staceyobu
Okay, I've read all the threads on meet the masters and the reviews are really good overall. I think I am close to clicking buy. Did anyone buy it and regret it? Or do you just prefer something else?
NanceXToo
We like it. I have a review of it on my blog with pictures of a bunch of the projects my daughter did, if you want to check it out. http://nancextoo.livejournal.com/252723.html
hsmom2011
We love it! You can get a discount through HSBC. :)
charris
We just finished our first artist, Edgar Degas, nothing too exciting. So far so good, DS is not the artistic type, he has no interest in coloring, drawing or crafts. We covered one artist over three days. DS enjoyed the history portion and did really well on the actual art project. I think he feels like he's really creating art as opposed to what felt like 'busy work' in public school (drawing a prescribed picture in a regular lined notebook, with marker or pencil, ugh). This is going to work great for us, once a month.
thegirlwhopaintedtrees
We love it here. I usually tweak the projects a bit (I am using the lowest age range set) but it is so nice to have the slide show and art history component all researched and done for me. We do an artist per week. Satori
We love it as well! We just learned about Georgia O'Keefe last night. It's been so simple to learn about all the masters, a new art technique or two, and a project at the end. I then load up our computer screensaver with paintings by the artist. I have been on a super long break, but cheers for Homeschool Buyers coop for offering a 3 year MTM subscription for 45% off, so be sure to get that deal. Mom2OandE
Oh wow. That looks intresting. A good deal on the co-op too. My kids are 8 and 9. If it's a 3 year subscription should I go with the 8-9 or the 10 and up? Is the 10 and up that much more difficult? I do have one child who is dyslexic but I read a lot to him. NanceXToo
Wow, your DD has impressive artwork! Aw, thank you! She really enjoys art, drawing, painting, etc., and MTM makes it easy for her to do somewhat more 'realistic' looking stuff like that! WiseOwlKnits
We love it here too!!! We bought it through HSBC a couple of years ago and the kids get excited about it, they are learning a lot, and I see them remembering and applying what they've learned to art they see other places.
