Hoggirl
I have read on the zinc threads that it needs to be "chelated" zinc. I have no idea what this means! How do I know if the zinc I am buying is "chelated" or not? Does it need to indicate that on the label? Walmart only has one brand - Spring Valley, I beieve. Do I need to make the trip to the health food store instead?
AngieW in Texas
My 19yo starting taking 30mg zinc picolinate last week and it seems to be helping. I just started my 16yo on it this week.
QuirkyKidAcademy
I bought the one at Walmart two days ago. There is no indication that it is chelated or picolinate or anything else. I got it anyway because we don't have a health food store. PSA: when they say it will make you nauseous if not taken on a full stomach - they aren't kidding! Just a cracker won't work. snowbeltmom
:bigear: After reading the other threads, I just started my two boys on 50 mg of zinc daily. I purchased Target's brand. The label says "Zinc as Zinc Gluconate." Does anyone know if this is acceptable?
dangermom
I think the Target zinc gluconate is what I am taking. I have rosacea. It does seem to me that my skin is clearer.
