HollyDay
I think I've got 8th grade finalized. How does it look? Saxon 1/2 Physical Science (1 credit) World Geography (with art, music, architecture) (1 credit) AG 3rd Season Editor in Chief Word Roots Writing across the curriculum (finished SWI-C this year) Lit Guides for Swiss Family Robinson and Around the World in 80 Days (plus 2 others as of yet undecided) Ice Skating for PE Piano, guitar, and possibly (if I can find a teacher) violin Am I missing anything??? PeterPan
logic? I thought SWB suggested finishing it before high school. I don't think we'll be able to do that, but I thought she said that at the convention. You could start a foreign language to get a jump start on high school, but that's just bonus. Looks similar to our plans: Horizons Pre-Algebra Apologia General Science Modern History AG 2nd season Spelling (yes, we still need it, LOL) Writing - mostly in the context of history and literature (we did parts of SWI C this year, and may complete more units as needed). Literature - not sure if we will do more of LLfLOTR - or a book list of my choosing or some combination. Visual Link - Spanish Basketball Chess He will also do something for Bible Study; we should continue Logic, but honestly it's low on my list; typing skills are a little higher on the priority list; and we might do Memoria Press's World Geography workbooks because he would enjoy it. But, really the above (plus Bible study) is core.

HollyDay
The only thing I see missing is a foreign language if you want it. Yes, we have decided we want to do a foreign language in 8th. I've ordered Spanish and it should be here next week. Dd wants to start it this summer since it is "over the top, mean, terrible, nasty hot" here in summer. Thanks for the suggestion, I wasn't even thinking about it!
